Operating Principles and Lessons learnt
Actions, not words
Ideas have no value until they're put into practice. Progress comes from execution, not intention. Judge yourself and others by what gets done, not what gets said.
#001Study the source
Go back to the original source whenever possible. Read the document, inspect the data, understand the process. Avoid relying solely on summaries, opinions, or second-hand interpretations.
#002Invert
When solving a problem, ask the opposite question. Instead of "How do I succeed?", ask "What would guarantee failure?". Avoiding obvious mistakes is often more effective than chasing perfect solutions.
#003The map is not the territory
Models, reports, and dashboards are representations of reality—not reality itself. Always test assumptions against what is actually happening before making decisions.
